I saw Lauren over at By Love Refined publish a post on what she was doing recently, and I thought it would be a good start in reintroducing myself, and to pick up where I left off last time I was here. So here we go, this is what’s been going on in my life and my heart lately.

Reading “My Sisters The Saints” by Colleen Carroll Campbell. I’ve been meaning to read this book for a couple years, and I finally found it at a local bookstore. I’m only a few chapters in, and I am already enjoying it so far! I love how Campbell is able to relate her life story with saints (St. Teresa of Avila, and St. Therese of Lisieux, for example), and how it has shaped her life to where she is now. Such a great read!

Also, I recently finished reading “Discerning Religious Life” by Sr. Clare Matthiass, CFR. It was given to me by my spiritual director to learn more about religious life, and it’s honestly one of the best books I’ve read on discernment. It covers everything from vocation stories from sisters, and the formation of how to become a sister. I highly recommend giving it a chance!

My current reads!

Wondering why I haven’t written on here in a while! I honestly miss it so much, and I can’t wait to share so much more about my personal testimonies that He has blessed me with over the past year.

Listening to a new podcast – specifically, Ask Fr. Josh over at Ascension Press. I’ve never been much of a podcast person before, but after listening to Fr. Josh, I was immediately hooked. There’s something about his cool charm, and raw honesty that I was drawn to.

One of my personal favorite episodes was “Voting, Spiritual Direction, and Fasting“. It’s also the first episode I’ve listened from him. I had never felt so humbled and lovingly called out in half an hour. I was able to learn so much about myself, and my faith. I look forward in learning more through his podcast & other podcasts in the future!

Watching Young Sheldon on TV, and the Consoling Heart of Jesus series over at Formed! After reading the 33 Days to Merciful Love by Fr. Michael E. Gaitley, MIC, I learned so much more about God’s Divine Mercy, and it hasn’t left my mind since. I’ve only started the series so far, and I’m already learning so much!

As always though, my two go-to shows are Brooklyn 99 and Friends! Can’t go wrong with those two classic masterpieces that always make me laugh.

Teach me your moves, Boyle!

Working on finding either a new job or a new program to study for next fall! It’s definitely difficult figuring out the next step of my life, but it’s also exhilarating at the same time. Please pray for me, my friends!

I’m also working on writing more blog posts on here. Stay tuned!

Frustrated at my lack of style and knowledge in styling my new hair. Who knew that the “low maintenance” pixie cut that I once desired, would be so high-maintenance? C’est la vie! Definitely a learning experience, but hey, I’m learning how to embrace change.

Loving the Fall season so much. Give me all things plaid, fall leaves, and pumpkins! Also, I got a new haircut which I am learning to love. Pixie haircut fam, where you at?

Debating on which book I should read next – Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila, or Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. Thoughts?

Thankful for the support and love that my family and friends have given me over the past month and for who knows how long. Thank you for loving me!

Struggling with not knowing which path the Lord is calling me to take next. I once heard that “once discernment became popular, no one has made a decision”. How true is that statement! Discernment in itself is tough, I’m not gonna lie. It’s not something that I’m taking lightly, but something that I am learning to take a day at a time.

Praying for patience, and the courage to pursue my dreams. Also, for the souls in purgatory and for those who need it the most!

Excited about the new adventure that awaits me in the remainder of the year and the upcoming one! I’ve always been known to dwell too much in the past, and that’s caused me to forget about the current moment, and about the future. But I’m learning to be active in my life and to pursue what it is that sets my soul on fire.

I’m also super excited for December! It’s my favourite month – not only do I share my birth month with Jesus, but with my favourite holiday! Christmas season is the best season. I love buying gifts and writing cards for my loved ones, and all that this beautiful season brings. I can’t wait!

Trying to learn Latin! It’s always been a dream of mine to learn this language. As Amy Santiago from Brooklyn 99 would say, “I don’t think Latin is dead, it’s just taking a long nap”, and I completely agree. Ever since I started learning more about my faith, and been introduced to the Traditional Latin Mass, I’ve been longing to learn more about this beautiful language.

Laughing at how accurate this GIF is describing my life currently.
